WHO WE ARE
Inspiring Younger Generations with Music
F2F Music Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Public Non-Profit Performing Arts Organization founded by prominent recording artist and professional Hammond Organist, Vel Lewis, to further the development of music students. He believes that music enriches the lives of individuals.
Access to high quality, continuous music instruction from the introductory to the mastery level provides the opportunity for youth to develop the skills, discipline, and focus that will enrich their lives and give them the tools to be a positive force in the world around them. F2F Music Foundation desires that all youth are able to pursue continuous and rigorous training in music to their highest level of interest and ability while striving for the best academic achievements possible.
OUR STORY
PROGRAMS
Jazz and classical music are two genres that are present in various forms of music. F2F Music Foundation wishes to inspire students who are interested in music with the gift of having their own instrument and performing with it on stage with well-known music personalities while becoming educated about jazz music in the United States and its influences around the world. With this in mind, the F2F Music Foundation has developed innovative programs to help young students musically and academically.
INSTRUMENT FUND PROGRAM
F2F Music Foundation works with local non-profit organizations and schools to identify and provide instruments to gifted, disadvantaged youth who are unable to afford their own instruments.
CLINICS & WORKSHOPS
Clinics and workshops will be held throughout the year to allow our young music students the opportunity to see and learn directly from guest speakers and guest recording artists in an informal, hour session.
SUMMER JAZZ IMPROVISATION CAMP
We provide basic and advanced studies in music theory, harmony, and the history of jazz music in relation to other forms of music. We offer studies in jazz music improvisation techniques and overall music appreciation.
JAZZ MUSIC FESTIVAL & CONCERTS
F2F organizes jazz concerts and an annual jazz festival to initiate community engagement and to give our students the chance to showcase their talents. Selected students will be given the opportunity to perform on stage, alongside international and national recording artists.
INTERNATIONAL MUSIC PROGRAM
Music exchanges allow groups of young musicians to experience traditional culture abroad for short periods of time. We at F2F believe in the importance of experiencing diverse musical cultures and styles, and we aim to provide this to disadvantaged youth who otherwise may not be able to experience this. Not only will this help them to develop musically, but it will help students develop personally, having experienced diverse perspectives other than their own.
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM FOR JAZZ MUSIC MAJOR
Opportunities for the study of jazz music are available to students at all grade levels.

“Music education opens doors that help children pass from school into the world around them – a world of work, culture, intellectual activity, and human involvement. The future of our nation depends on providing our children with a complete education that includes music.”
